BIO

Beth Turner is a self taught artist who works mostly in watercolour. Taking inspiration from sailing trips throughout coastal British Columbia, Beth has developed a daily practice of sketching to design preliminary studies. This visual note taking develops into experimental compositions that intermingle the sensory experiences of each place. Brush strokes capture sound and movement, texture and hue reflect mood and weather, tonal value and perspective evoke imagination and curiosity. The resulting works invite you to share in an artist’s view of the world that aims toward realism with a perpetual sense of optimism.
